Hull Structural Engineer

Summary of Job / Qualification

  • Educational Requirement: S1 Degree (S2/Master Degree will be an advantage).
  • Have minimum 10 years experience in Oil and Gas Industries, preferably have exposures to projects.
  • Have experience in naval architecture, offshore floating structures engineering and construction.
  • Completion of all pre-FEED (Front End Engineering & Design) technical studies.
  • Completion of technical section of the FPU (Floating Production Unit) FEED Bid Package.
  • Provide expert advice as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) to evaluate the FPU FEED bid proposals during the FEED tender process
  • Upon completion of Pre-FEED phase, this position will transition to become the FPU FEED Hull and Mooring engineer reporting to the FPU Lead.
  • Responsible for the review and evaluation of the contractor work on the FEED design of all aspects of the FPU hull, riser and mooring and associated systems, including inspection of proposed fabrication sites and review of contractor work plans, processes and procedures.
  • The position will be responsible for the structural design of the hull, the corrosion protection systems (coatings, anodes and monitoring systems), marine systems within the hull and the interfaces (structural, mechanical, electrical and utilities) with the topsides facilities, subsea and riser systems during front-end engineering including preparation of class 3 cost estimate for project A/R (Appropriation Request), and assisting in development and implementation of an effective contracting plan.
  • Participate in the planning and development of the execution plan for the detailed design, construction, hookup and commissioning of hull, riser and mooring and its associated systems.
  • Select and manage specialists from for specific support services, with consultation from the FPU Lead.
  • Interface closely with Interface & Risk Management Team to identify and mitigate risks during the FEED design activities.
  • Communicate regularly with other Project Team members responsible for the topsides facility, subsea and riser systems, to ensure coordination of interfaces and schedules.
  • Mobile and willing to be assigned to both national and international locations.
  • Have a good leadership and communication, both in Bahasa or English.

Project Engineer

Summary of Job / Qualification

  • Project Management experience with strong facilities design, fabrication, construction, commissioning and startup background.
  • Should have demonstrated experience running large capital projects or a portfolio of smaller capital projects.
  • Experience directing the work activities and coordinating the interfaces between multiple disciplines and teams to execute projects.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas facility design including design basis and P&ID development, application of relevant industry specifications, development of engineering deliverables (data sheets, equipment sizing, etc.) and HAZOP procedures.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with fabrication techniques and  construction practices.
  • Knowledgable and committed to implementing industry best practices in safety.

Facility Engineer - Mechanical

Summary of Job / Qualification

  • Educational Requirement: S1 Degree (S2/Master Degree will be an advantage).
  • 4 years plus relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Able to provide pipeline engineering input throughout pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Competent to act as Company representative for the review of the pipeline aspects of design basis, design drawings, specifications, installation procedures, etc.
  • Have sufficient knowledge to ensure that the design work by contractors meets company standards and relevant industry codes.
  • Knowledgeable of Project Management skills & practices.
  • The successful candidates will need to be able to provide technical specialist support evolving projects design and execution to support organization to achieve its goals and performance targets, including meeting all safety requirements.
  • Part of facilities engineering team providing technical input and guidance to contractors during the conceptual design development, detailed engineering and execution of the project through to commissioning.
  • Mechanical Engineer background with experience in oil & gas plant design, opration and commissioning/start-up of the facility with focus on rotating equipment (API and ANSI centrifugal pumps, piston pump and compressor type, machinary protection system, mechanical seal, pump lubrication system, cooling system etc.
  • Has good understanding of the pump and piping specification.
  • Knowledgeable of relevant industry specifications, codes and standards (pumps, piping, vessels, etc.)
  • Experience in pump sizing and selection, piping design, vessel & heat exchanger sizing, fabrication, installation & startup
  • Willing to relocate to one of Chevron operations locations (East Kalimantan/Riau).
  • Have a good leadership and communication, both in Bahasa or English.

Requirement:

  • 10+ years experience in the oil and gas industry with demonstrated track record using project management principles as a Project Manager to run a large capital project or a portfolio of small capital projects.
  • Experienced leading  multi-discipline engineering teams and directing the work activities and interfaces to execute projects.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas facility design including development of design basis and engineering deliverables for FEED and DED.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in relevant industry codes/standards, construction practices and best practices related to safety.
  • Strong skill in cost and schedule control as well as contract management for assigned projects to ensure efficient execution.
  • Have a good leadership and communication, both in English and Bahasa.
