Mechanical Technician - Palembang

Basic Purpose

  • Mechanical Technician is responsible for providing execution to each of the Mechanical Maintenance activities, to ensure that the maintenance activities are properly executed.

Principal Accountability

  • High safety responsibility to himself, co-workers, plant and associated equipment, and also participates in all company HSE Programs as required.
  • Improve individual skills by following Training and Competency Program in order to acquire the required competency requirements.
  • Planning/Coordinating daily tasks and activities by ensuring all Mechanical Maintenance Procedures and Written Instructions are followed and adhered to, in compliance with company core values to minimize loss production capability and reportable incidents.
  • Regular monitoring of plant and process rotating and/or stationary equipment to maintain high reliability of the plant and to detect loss production capabilities and critical unsafe situations in order to be reported to the line supervisor in timely manner.
  • Taking of and analyzing readings of process for rotating and/or stationary equipment accurately.
  • Executes routine mechanical maintenance tasks and routine mechanical troubleshooting of process plant & equipment in accordance to the written procedures and company core values to maintain high reliability of the plant and to detect loss production capabilities and critical unsafe situations in order to be reported to the line supervisor in timely manner.
  • Contributes as a team member in maintenance and operations daily activities to maintain production in safest possible manner
  • Maintain good housekeeping by performing regular housekeeping inspection in your area of responsibilities ensuring zero discharge to the environment.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

  • Education : Min. D3 in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experienced in Mechanical Rotating and/or Stationary Equipment maintenance

Measurement & Metering Engineer - Jakarta

Main Responsibilities

The Measurement and Metering Engineer, Engineering Excellence, works to optimize design and operations the key fiscal (custody transfer) and allocation metering equipment across the business unit. Provide COPI oversight for important third party metering equipment. The position will also work to ensure the accuracy of measurement and the quality of the data used for production and allocation of hydrocarbons. Responsibilities shall include the following:

  • High safety responsibility to himself, co-workers, plant and associated equipment, and also participates in all company HSE Programs as required. This is to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations including COPI Core SPIRIT Values and Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and the asset Safety Case.
  • Work as a team with other Measurement and Metering Engineers to coordinate the regular calibration (regulatory and internal) of COPI operated fiscal and allocation meters as required.
  • Coordinate closely with operations to oversee preventative maintenance for metering and measurement (procedures and timing) including spare part planning for maintaining reliability of performance.
  • Prepare and publish reports and summaries for operations and engineering to understand the accuracy of the measurement and to troubleshoot problems.
  • Represent COPI in witnessing the regulatory calibration of meters of important third party assets.
  • Provide expert and operational input on metering design for new project developments.
  • Manage projects to replace, repair, or upgrade measurement equipment. Support technical decision-making on key development project.
  • Help integrate with other functional groups needing measurement information.
  • Interface with the Commercial Group to ensure the accuracy of measurement data for revenue receipt and allocation to fields dedicated to gas contracts. Work with Commercial to resolve discrepancies with measurement results under contracts.
  • Work to develop, provide review and properly record Mis-Measurement Report that shall be generated right after mis-measurement occurred.
  • Interface with Production Engineering to ensure the accuracy of measurement data for production planning, allocation and regular well testing are performing as per expectation. Work with them to resolve issue related with design and metering range that appropriate with the production profile.
  • Assist Lead Measurement and Metering in addressing all measurement audit findings and preparing presentations and responses to resolve measurement issues.
  • Inspect and review field measurement operations for offshore and onshore asset areas to identify & correct measurement performance problems.
  • Support field operation teams in trouble-shooting field measurement problems during startup and commissioning.  Determine corrective measures and technical recommendations.
  • Support Lead Measurement and Metering Engineer to propose LRP budget for Metering related projects.

Key Activities

  • Provide and/or review Measurement and Metering design and sizing, Prepare measurement system procedures, assist maintenance in troubleshooting problems with measurement system performance and make recommendations for improvement.  Assist in Commission and startup of new facilities to validate all measurement equipment performance during commissioning and startup of new facilities.
  • Act as company representative during validation and certification of metering system
  • Manage projects to replace, repair, or upgrade measurement equipment.

Required Qualification

  • Previous Work Experience in Gas & Liquid Measurement and strong knowledge of all types of Gas and Liquid Measurement in oil and gas operations.
  • Strong communication skills and influence skills for establishing measurement standards and measurement procedures within the Business Unit.
  • Sound judgment & analytical skills to establish best practices for measurement operations.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in oil and gas industry with at least 5 years experience designing, constructing, and operating measurement systems as well as developing & implementing standards for fiscal measurement of hydrocarbons.
  • Experience in coordination with engineering, commercial, and operations field personnel to insure accurate measurement results and aligned solutions.
  • Ability to cope in a positive and productive manner within a high-pressure environment to deliver results and troubleshoot problems.
  • The candidate must be familiar with government regulation on oil and gas operations within Indonesia and have prior experience generating delivery procedures to meet these government requirements.
